A Meissen porcelain tea and hot chocolate service with capuchin brown ground

All items decorated with small Chinoiserie landscapes. Comprising hot chocolate pot with a wooden handle and tea caddy, both with lids (that of the tea caddy gilded), two scalloped oval dishes and one octagonal dish, eight cups in two sizes and seven saucers. Includes a small oval dish with a gadrooned rim. Blue crossed swords mark, some items with dot and star, blue marks. A crack to the handle of the teapot, restored rim chips to the lid, minor rim chips to two saucers. Hot chocolate pot H 16.5 cm.
From 1730 – ca. 1780.
