A rare Meissen porcelain butter dish with Chinoiserie cartouche décor

Oval dish with original lid, the finial formed as a Chinoiserie tendril. Decorated with flowers and foliage, the lid with pumpkins and large flowers in cartouche surrounds. Unglazed base with faint blue crossed swords mark. Some localised retouches. H 6.7, W 13.5 cm.
