A 16th century Tuscan terracotta figure of Christ bound

Worked in the round, the reverse hollowed out, stained and with remnants of polychromy. This bust depicts Christ in the manner of the “Ecce Homo“ scene, with His arms bound behind His back and His head turned to one side in suffering. The smooth background of the piece has only survived in fragments.
Some wear. Height 30 cm.
