An 18th century Venetian carved wood figure of the Virgin

Stained wood. This high relief depicts a half-length figure of the Virgin, Her head surrounded by a crown of stars and Her gaze lowered. She holds Her hands folded against Her torso in a gesture of humility in the manner of the Annunciation scene.
A vertical hairline crack in the upper centre. Insect damage. Wear with minor losses to the edges. 52 x 38 x 7 cm.
