A pair of large Canton famille rose vases. 19th century

Of slender baluster-shape with a trumpet neck and foliate rim and applied with four writhing gilt chilongs to the shoulder and two handles in the form of Buddhist lions and their cubs to the neck. Decorated with large panels depicting reserved on a densely patterned ground of scrolling lotus and foliage with butterflies. Wooden bases. (2)
