A silver neck ornament with amulets. Early 20th century

From a torque engraved with scrolls and the four characters Minguo wansui (Long live the Republic) hang three and two pairs of chains with a number of embossed amulets of different shapes and sizes, including a boy on a qilin, lions, monkeys, a disc with occupational objects, and many others. Mounted and topped by four plaques with the characters min, guo, ying and xiong (read together as “the heroes of the Republic”). Framed and glazed.
