Of almost square shape, the lid displaying in gold and silver hiramakie a dense pattern of peonies and leaves, and various family crests on a nashiji ground, on the reverse of the lid pine saplings on a nashiji ground. Inside two trays and at the centre a suzuri and a water dropper of gilt and engraved copper. Damages due to age and restorations.
