A lacquer model of a litter (kago). 19th century

With sliding doors and roof parts that open upwards, a window at the front with a sudare inside, the walls inside painted with cranes, minogame and pine trees, (the Hôrai motif used at weddings), two carrying poles to be inserted in to the roof, painted in gold with karakusa and the crest of the Inaba family of Yodo and Tateyama (sumikiri gaku ni mitsu no ji), the fittings of engraved coper. Very minor damages due to age.
