Four silver gilt wine coolers from a service made for the Russian Court
Round, tapering body on sphinx supports resting on a three-sided plinth with paw feet. The flaring rim with gadrooning, the outer surface applied with three finely chased laurel wreaths above a narrow laurel band. The underside with a scratched inventory number “N. 403” and the weight in Russian pounds and zolotnik. H 21.2 cm, total weight 5,319 g.

Серебро, позолота. Круглые, конусовидные корпуса, на ножках со сфинксами, на треугольном подесте с тремя лапками. Уплощенный край украшен ребристым узором, стенки декорированы тремя лавровыми венками тонкой чеканки, внизу лавровая лента. На дне выгравирован инвентарный номер “N. 403”, вес в фунтах и золотниках.
