A pair of Victorian gold, diamond and pearl brooches

Silver, circa 9k red gold; the brooch setting circa 15k yellow gold. Designed as two pierced flowering sprigs set with 192 cushion shaped old-cut diamonds and 14 small rose-cut diamonds. One brooch with a large stone of ca. 0.95 ct (mid colour range, I-K, si, strong fluorescence), the remaining 112 diamonds in total ca. 8.00 ct (G-P, vs-si, partial fluorescence). The other brooch with a large stone of ca. 0.85 ct (mid colour range, I-K, si, strong fluorescence), the remainging 102 stones in total ca. 8.00 ct (G-P, vs-si, partial fluorescence). Each set with a drilled oval pearl (ca. 9.50 x 7.6 x 7.30 mm and ca. 9.20 x 7.90 x 7.90 mm). In a leather bound fitted case by Harvey & Gore, London. With minor repairs, the brooch findings replaced. Ca. 4.3 x 5.5 cm. Total weight 24.04 g.
