An inlaid needlework box

Small box richly inlaid with walnut, burr walnut, oak, boxwood, ebonised wood, mother-of-pearl, ivory, tortoiseshell, foiled glass and pewter on a softwood and oak core. The interior divided into six drawers, the top of the lid fitted with a pin cushion with later textile cover and filling. With a filled area in the veneer of the back, the edges slightly chipped. H 20.2, W 32, D 27.5 cm.
