A French Louis XV ormolu candelabra

Ormolu and burnished bronze five-flame candle holder with curved acanthus branches and a central figure of a putto with a flower garland on a swing. With drilled holes for wiring, later removed. H ca. 82, D 57 cm.
Mid- to third quarter 18th C.

The bronze figure of a putto on a swing may be based on a design by Etienne-Maurice Falconet (1716 - 1791).
