A magnificent Parisian ormolu pendulum clock with a fountain motif

Bi-colour ormolu clock with white enamel dial and brass fittings. Replaced 14-day movement with thread suspension and half-hourly striking on a bell. Highly detailed fountain motif with a figure of Neptune in the centre pouring water from an urn into a shell shaped pool flanked by two Nereids with urns. The finial formed as a stembowl motif with two putti holding snails on chains. The back cover lost, the domed glazing with a hinge at the top (amended). H 46.5, W 40, D 19.
