A porcelain plate with a view of the Collège des Quatre-Nations

Painted with a view of the Palais des Beaux Arts and the Pont des Arts, labelled on the underside. Unmarked. A minute chip at 6 o'clock, wear to the gilding and small retouches. D 22.4 cm.
Attributed to Paris, 1st half 19th C.

The building of the Collège des Quatre-Nations, built by Louis Le Vau for Cardinal Jules Mazarin on the left bank of the Seine in Paris, now houses the Institut de France and the Bibliothèque Mazarine.
