A very elegant stained ivory box, possibly for sencha leaves. 19th century

In shape of a bamboo internodium carved with a poem by the Tang dynasty poet Zhang Hu in six lines with characters in cursive script. Nicely polished. (Cracks to the base and lid and reworked area where presumably a young twig sprouted from the node). Translation of the poem included.
