A small silver bomboniere. Dateable to 1928

In shape of a tsuri toro with one window that opens and with a gold-plated kiku-mon on the roof. Signed with the letter S within a star mark (= Yamazaki shoten) and stamped: jungin. Weight 124 g. Wooden box.
Height 4.6 cm; width 5.2 cm; depth 5.3 cm

Given as a gift to 2779 guests at a dinner in Nijô castle in Kyoto on occasion of the enthronement ceremony of Emperor Hirohito on 17.11.1928.
