Aikuchi. Wood and stag antler. Mid/second half 19th century

The single edge steel blade with a central ridge. The sheath of dark wood, carved with two cranes underneath a pine and a bird sitting on a rock underneath a blossoming cherry tree, both ends of the sheath lined with stag antler carved with leafy scrolls, the hilt of stag antler carved with leafy scrolls and fruits on a stippled ground. The mekugi of dark horn.
