An ivory and tagayasan wood kagamibuta. Late 19th century

The disc of ivory deeply carved with a half portrait of an Onna Daruma with a large flywhisk and a butterfly, the bowl of tagayasan wood. Signed Ichiyu to the reverse of the disc.
Diameter 3.9 cm

The carver of the disc most probably is Murata Naomitsu Ichiyûsai (1867-1931) from Osaka.
