A Meissen porcelain bowl with military scenes

An oval dish with scroll handles. Decorated to the centre with roses, daffodils, forget-me-nots, and insects after woodcut designs. The outer body with battle scenes in trapezoid reserves and insects. Blue crossed swords mark. Restored vertical radial crack through the rim to the centre of the bowl. Restored chip on the foot rim. H 6, W 23, D 15.1 cm.
Ca. 1740, the battle scenes after Georg Philipp Rugendas the Elder.
