An Amsterdam grandfather clock

Walnut, maple and stained wood veneer on oak, glass, painted, ebonised and gilt wood, replaced textile, brass dial with painted lunette and pierced blued steel hands. Day-running movement with half-hourly and hourly striking to two bells, with date and moon phase apertures and a small moon phase aperture above. The door can be opened via a pulley in the pendulum case. Engraved on the dial "Antoni van Oostrom Amsterdam". Winding holes without function, centre of dial replaced. H 260, W c. 50, D 26 cm.
