A probably Transsylvanian silver gilt historicist shoulder chain with freshwater pearls.

Designed as a strand of domed plaques with pierced foliate appliques, red and green paste stones in foiled settings and drilled freshwater natural pearls alternating with foliate chains. The square clasp of corresponding design with a hook and eye on the reverse for a former pendant and push-button closure. Hallmarks: French import stamp "cygne" for silver from countries without trade treaties, used since 1893. Several stones and pearls lost. L ca. 76. Weight 330 g.
