Fire gilt and burnished bronze clock with white enamel dial and "rosso antico" marble base. 14-day running with half hourly striking to a bell and thread susupension. The dial signed "RAINGO FRERES A PARIS". H 49, W 52, D 19 cm.

For more on this maker see Tardy, Dictionnaire des horlogers français, Paris 3/1972, p. 544. The Raingo brothers were registered in the Rue Vieille du Temple as of 1829 and in the Rue de Saintonge after 1840. They participated in the "Great London Exposition" in 1862.
