The rim of the scalloped basin decorated with strapwork and shell motifs, the deep well with lambrequins, the central recess corresponding. The body of the bulbous ewer repeating the decor of the basin, the solid silver handle formed from two entwined dolphins. H of ewer 29.5; D of basin 48.3 cm, total weight 1,782 g.
