A rare Esen silver teapot

Pear-form vessel with a curved spout and wooden handle. Decorated with flowering sprigs on each of the twist fluted segments. The domed lid with corresponding decor and a rose flower finial. Dated 1800 and inscribed with the weight "Wiegt 29 3/8 Loth" to the underside. H 17.5 cm, weight 455 g.
Marks of Otto Helmerich Altena, c. 1800.
