Fragment of a blue satinssilk robe of state (chaopao). Kangxi (1661-1722)

With a large five-clawed dragon with a winding body above a curved lishui. Colours faded, the gilding entirely lost, worn along the lower corners, on the reverse an applied slip along the centre fold. Glazed and framed.
