A large celadon dish. Longquan, early Ming dynasty (1368–1644), 14th/15th century

A barbed dish with fluted sides, decorated to the centre with an incised peony blossom. An unglazed ring on the base burnt orange in firing, all covered with an olive-green glaze. Metal brackets.
