An Indo-Portuguese ivory figure of the Virgin Mary with a rosary. India, Goa. 17th/18th century

Standing on a separately carved base with large leaves, the Virgin supports the Christ Child with a globe, her right hand with a long rosary, the crown on her head and the halo behind the head of the child are an unusual feature for this type of Virgin Mary. Various small losses and age cracks.
