A Chinese school painting with a view of Hong Kong (city of Victoria) and the harbour

In the harbour a great variety of vessels can be seen, including the side-wheeler steamer "Hankow", covered hulks, and an array of steamships and three-masted sailing ships can be seen, most of them flying British and American flags, several local vessels travel between the foreign ships, including fishing and merchant ships along with Chinese junks. On Hong Kong Island the tower of St. John's Cathedral can be seen in the centre, the Government House a little uphill to its right, further right is the Clock tower, Victoria in the north shore of Hong Kong Island, above is the Victoria's Peak with its signaling station built in 1861. Oil on canvas, backed. Wooden frame.
