A Raku futaoki. Kyoto. Edo period, 18th/19th century

In shape of a mortar (usu) used to pound mochi covered with a salmon-red glaze and displaying two rats reserved in white glaze. Old wooden box, inscribed on the lid, signed and sealed on the reverse. With a yellow linnen cloth.
Height 5.6 cm: diameter 4.7 cm
