A gilt bronze figure of a bodhisattva. Sino-Tibetan, 17th/18th century

Seated in padmasana on a throne with a double lotus base, holding his right hand in the gesture of discourse vitarka mudra, the left resting palm up on his lap in avakasha mudra. Dressed in a long robe, the hems decorated with engravings, rich breast and ear jewelry, a crown on the head and three strands of hair falling over both shoulders. Base sealed.
Height 13.4 cm
