Crown Prince Frederick William was presented with a service "with a guirland rosette and small insects together with a green oak leaf wreath around the border" upon his marriage to Luise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz on 24th December 1794. The design was emblematic of the Neoclassical style at KPM under King Frederick William II, and it exerted a strong influence on the production of the following years.
