A large Nuremberg silver gilt Bratina form beaker

Almost spherical cup with a flaring rim decorated with finely chased fruit garlands and scrollwork on dotted ground. Engraved below the lip with a coat-of-arms with crossed croziers and peacock feathers as a crest, beside it the monograms "CHA", "MP" and "HM". With a later slavonic owner's engraving to the underside. H 11.8; diameter 14 cm, weight 358 g.
