A Tibetan Thangka of Vajrayogini. 19th century

Holding a kartika in her right hand, drinking from a blood-filled kapala in her left, her staff with skulls and vajra lying in the crook of her left arm. She stands in alidha on Kalaratri and Bhairava over a lotus base in front of a flame aureole. Two other manifestations of the powerful goddess appear to her sides. Maitri Kachod in a rainbow sphere and Indra Kachod in a flame aureole. Details rendered in fine gold. Blue silk mounting with dragons amidst clouds.
