A round carved red lacquer box. 18th century

With a slightly domed lid and a corresponding lower part, the entire surface including the base, is finely carved with a central peony blossom, a half-open flower and two buds, surrounded by large blossoms and leaves. Black lacquer to the inside. A few chips to the inside rim.
Height 5.9 cm; diameter 14.3 cm
