A Haripunjaya style terracotta head of a Buddha. Thailand, Lampun, Wat Kukuta. 13th century

The head with a pointed chin, the neck with three deeply engraved folds, the stylised eyebrows meet above the nasal bridge, the eyes elegantly curved, the mouth with full lips and deep corners, the pointed hair curls mostly missing. Mounted on a metal stand.
