A pair of custom made 14k gold silver and smoky quartz bow earrings using parts of a 19th century tortoiseshell spectacle case with gold piqué point.

Unique work. Silver backed clip findings set with faceted smoky quartz (18.96 x 15.14 mm) and suspending large oval gold mounted tortoiseshell plaques with gold piqué star inlays decorated with gold bows with tiny diamond droplets hanging from the ends. Silver clip mountings hallmarked: Fineness 925. H 6.5 cm. Total weight 32.32 g.

Designed by the owner. The tortoiseshell discs with gold piqué inlays were sawn out of the top and bottom of a 19th century Biedermeier spectacle case.
