A Königsberg silver gilt coin-set tankard

Cylindrical vessel with thick scroll handles set throughout with 24 Brunswick-Lüneburg silver reichstaler dated 1690 - 1697. The lid and base inset with a Saxon taler bearing the portrait of Elector Johann Georg I of Saxony, Jülich, Cleves and Berg, dated 1620 and 1624. Engraved with the weight "Wigt 90 lott." below the base. H 19 cm, weight 1,465 g.
Marks of Daniel Ziegelmeister, 1701.
