A miniature Prenzlau silver teapot

Baluster-form vessel with wooden handle and finial on a moulded basal ring. Gilt interior. H 9.3 cm, weight 129 g.
Marks of Daniel Cuny, around 1720.

"The coffee pot is an excellent example of the spread of Huguenot design in Europe. After the Edict of Potsdam issued by the Great Elector in 1685, many Huguenots settled in Berlin and the Mark Brandenburg and had a lasting influence on art and craftsmanship in the area."
