Blue crossed swords mark, blue 4? in the basal ring. Minor chips to the finial, three small firing cracks to the base. H 9.4, W 16.2, D 10 cm.
Around 1740, model by Johann Joachim Kaendler.

Rainer Rückert quotes from Kaendler's workshop records of August 1733: "1 oval sugar box made with some ornamentation, on top stands a small peasant man" and the entry of May 1734: "1 small peasant man changed to a butter box".
