Gilt brass, blued steel hand, glazing. Octagonal base. The upper face with four engraved dials, a folding gnomon and a round compass with the directions labelled in French. The underside engraved with the pole lengths and the names of 22 European cities. Engraved "Bion A Paris" to the centre of the upper face. L 7.6, W 6.6 cm
