Four Italian laquered hardwood chairs

Carved hardwood with red laquer and partial gilding over red bole, later upholstery with textile covers. Trapezoid form with curved front and slightly serpentine legs with x-form stretcher. Wear to the polychromy and gilding, traces of earlier insect damage. H 98, W 52, seat depth 46 cm.
