A Chine de Commande teapot. Qianlong period, around 1750/60

Of globular shape with straight spout and D-shaped handle. Decorated on both sides in polychrome colours in the manner of a coat of arms with an empty chair, presumably commemorating a deceased head. Two flying putti hold a noble crown, under the chair a golden garland. On the shoulder a collar in encre de Chine with a honeycomb pattern.
