A large ovoid vase. Mid-20th century

Of bulbous ovoid shape with a thickened lip, carved with the large leaves, tendrils and fruits of a hechima gourd, the seeds gilded. Signed to the outside Hokuryū Sanjin and Yoshimitsu saku. Inscription to the base.
Height 27 cm

The artist Nishimura Yoshimitsu 西村義光 was born in 1899 and his art name was Hokuryō Sanjin 北陵山人.
