A Bayon-style stele fragment of a Buddha triad. Cambodia. 12th century

Above a contoured plinth at the centre the figure of Buddha seated in meditation on a coiled naga which spreads its hood protectively over the Buddha's head, to his right Lokeshvara with attributes in his four hands and to his left Prajnaparamita with a lotus flower. Each figure with its own backplate. Black wooden base.
