A Laotian bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. 17th century or later

Seated in meditation on a low hexagonal pedestal, the right hand in bhumisparshamudra, the left hand in dhyanamudra in his lap, the head and ushnisha covered with spiky curls, the ornament on top of the ushnisha lost. The eye pupils of black lacquer. Black patina with a tinge of green.
