The Yue He mark refers to the Tan Yue He 譚粤和 firm which received commissions from the Thai royal family in the 1870s and 1880s. Only the finest silver and gilded silver work was produced here, and it is believed that an individual of that name supervised the production. Objects from this workshop were exhibited at world exhibitions, for example in Paris in 1889.
