A Gujarati/Rajasthani copper alloy Jain altar. 15th/16th century

The tirthankara stands on a lotus base under a three-layered canopy, on the rectangular base the identificational mark (chihna). On either side of him are seated yaksha and yakshi as well as tirthankara under a five-headed naga hood, above them a total of 21 tirthankara in a gloriole with kirtthimukha at the top.
