The depiction of the "Discovery of the Infant Moses" is based on a drawing by Johann Gottfried Eichler the Younger (1715 - 1770) that was published by the Augsburg engraver and publisher Johann Georg Hertel (1700 - 1775). The scene of "Jacob's Dream of the Ladder" follows an engraving after Jacopo Amigoni (1682 - 1752).
