A rare Neoclassical Höchst porcelain potpourri

Decorated with a figural frieze, the original pierced cover entwined by two snakes. Hollow glazed base with blue wheel mark and electoral crown, engraved R. Firing cracks, the snakes restored. H 40 cm.
1770s/1780s, the model attributed to Johann Peter Melchior.
