A faience plate with the coat of arms of the Höchstetter family

The border painted with scattered flowers and insects. Unmarked. Some localised wear to the glaze of the rim, chips. Diameter 24.7 cm.
Nuremberg or Ansbach, around 1700.

The Höchstetters were a patrician family from Augsburg who, alongside the Fuggers, ran one of the largest German trading houses at the beginning of the 16th century.
